Hi, my name is David Romness and I am a sophomore from McLean, Virginia, which is a suburb of Washington, DC. I live about 5 minutes or so by car from the city, which is very nice and convenient. I have two sisters and a brother. One of my sisters is 15 years old and will probably end up playing soccer at whatever college she wants, she is regarded as one of the best players in the state of Virginia. My other sister is 6 years old and just got into 1st grade, and my brother is 3 years old and is one of the smartest and most trouble-causing kids I have ever met. I am a mechanical engineering major, but that's pretty boring so i won't write much about that. My favorite things to do are pretty much all sports... I am very competitive so i get really into them. I play for Clemson's club lacrosse team and i also play inter mural basketball and football. I have been playing lacrosse since I was in 5th grade, and I almost ended up playing in college at some small D3 schools. I am thankful everyday that I didn't end up doing that and that i ended up at Clemson. I can't imagine my whole life revolving around lacrosse as much as I love it. Second semester freshman year, I started to pledge Pi Kappa Alpha, but I decided to drop after a week because I knew I couldn't play lacrosse and pledge at the same time. I am still deciding whether or not to pledge again, since some of my good friends are now Pikes. Overall, I am very happy with my life at Clemson and hope the rest of my time here can be as good as my first year was.
